Wish I knew how to post my txt messages on these boards: after the first period I told my Flames fan buddy not to get too excited cause WSH was going to come back and beat them when they started trying.

Sorry to tell you that this is going to happen many times this year

If Colborne were in the lineup you would have got the W!

Nice to get a point from Wash when no one thought you would/could. One to build on - Calgary was generating a lot of chances when I was watching it.

Colin I don't know what your issue with Monahan is but he caused a turn over on the Jones goal. He didn't misplay the punk as you stated.

Overall I thought they played with great energy, finished checks, etc. I think we may be in for a lot of games like that one. Ramo will have to be a lot better...or we may see Berra sooner than later.

Difference of opinions? Lol...to me it looked like he was trying to play the puck and got lucky. My memory could serve me wrong though so let me see if I can find a replay of it.

And though youre right, I thought Ramo played ok. There wasnt much he could do on those Ovie goals as they were blasts. OT is hard for any goalie...but aside from I thought he did alright. Needs to move east and west a little quicker...

I'd rather watch that team grind out an entertaining game like that than the mediocre veteran team we watched the past 3 or 4 years.

Anyone else think CGY looked better-coached than they have in years? Maybe more to do with the personnel than the coach.

Going by what a lot of fans say on this site, I'd agree with you. Personally, I'm just hoping they're in the fight for playoffs until the last 3 games. I think it's incredibly stupid for people to think that you can start a season off with 1 NHL centre and expect to have a great outcome. The Oils fate lies in RNHs hands/shoulders. If he can get back to playing like he did in his rookie year within a month, the Oil may surprise. Arcobello ~ Gagner in my mind (both average offensive talents lacking D play for NHL 2Cs).

Will they finish ahead of the Flames?
They fcking better

I was totally pleased with how they played last night. On the road & Washington is a pretty decent team & they accounted themselves well for a newly rebuilding team which many pundits call the joke of the league & 30th place team. I loved how they cycled & dominated the overtime after they lost that big lead. Ramo does have to figure out the deke moves or they better put Macbackup in for the shootouts.

come on moron, how many times have we seen the Flames blow a 3 or 4 goal lead? I've lived in Calgary since 2004 and this is something that happens often. moron.
- ...sbs138...

Then idiot, say what you mean. Same old same old is what we had 3-4 years prior to this. This is a young team & was refreshing with the effort, speed & skill they displayed last night. I lived in Calgary a lot longer than you so fckoff.

Sadly I'm used to being disappointed from my team. I'm so used to it that I won't believe they're in the playoffs until the puck drops on the post-season... and even then one of the kids will get O'houlahaned before the first game

I could care less, and it means nothing, how much longer you've lived in Calgary than me. the Flames have a history of blowing big leads and losing to bad teams (when the Flames used to be good). same old same old idiot.

HAHA! come on man. it's hockey. you can't take a little negative feedback about your team. I'm sure you're the first one to criticize the Oilers or Nucks when they lose.

No, it was just a polite way of telling you to (frank) off.
